The Hyperlight campaign included a magazine layout, magazine ad, poster, business card, postcard, and billboard. It seemed fitting to design a motion graphic video that could be used online to further promote the brand. Using the billboard image as the inspiration, I wanted to not only show the car as its own eye candy but also animate the fog surrounding the car. The use of a dark background really makes the red color of the car stand out, and the animated fog provides additional interest with depth and movement. The outcome is a 15-second video that has an elegant feel, smooth pace, and elevates the brand. It creates interest in the viewer and leaves them wanting more, which they can find at the included website address. The custom thumbnail created for the video simply shows the brand logo and a teaser of the car. I feel that's enough to entice any Supercar-loving enthusiast to click on the play button.
