The goal of this project was to take an existing project and create another that was done in the same 3D medium with a different aesthetic. Using Cinema 4D, the original project was a 3D composition of a caramel soda carton and bottles. This was the first time I attempted to create a 3D liquid material inside of another object – the glass bottles in this case – as well as the first time I imported text from Illustrator to extrude. The Samurai Hard Cider project is what developed from that caramel soda project. The background is actually the same in both but appears different because of the camera perspective and lighting used in the scene. Careful attention was paid to subtly illuminate the liquid while keeping the reflections of light off the bottles as manageable as possible. A new bottling company brand and logo was created, and the overall vibe of the composition is meant to appeal to a more sophisticated adult target audience, than that of the caramel soda.
